The Claim Jumper Story

The original Claim Jumper Restaurant opened in Los Alamitos, California on September 27, 1977. Today, there are locations throughout Arizona, California, Colorado, Illinois, Nevada and Washington.

Claim Jumper Restaurants are popular with a large audience including families, children, seniors and business professionals. Our friendly environment is ideal for celebrating special occasions, hosting a business lunch or gathering for a delicious meal with friends and family.

Upon entering our restaurants, guests discover an environment that is warm and comfortable, featuring huge Douglas Fir logs, natural rock, corrugated and pressed tin, natural and finished woods and large fireplaces. Many of our locations feature exhibition cooking where guests watch as pizzas are prepared in an authentic wood-burning oven, and salads, soups and desserts are meticulously prepared.

Open daily for lunch and dinner, Claim Jumper offers a selection of freshly prepared items using only the finest ingredients available. Favorites include USDA Prime and Choice steaks, fresh fish, rotisserie chicken, baby back pork ribs, fresh baked pot pies, specialty salads, wood-fired pizzas, pasta, sandwiches, burgers and more. Claim Jumper's baked goods and desserts including our Six-Layer Chocolate Motherlode Cake, Bread Pudding, Scratch Carrot Cake, Lemon Bar Brule and five flavors of deliciously rich cream cheese pie are popular favorites with our guests.

Our saloons are a comfortable gathering place to relax after a day at work, to catch a game or share an appetizer with friends. The saloon menu features signature cocktails, chilled martinis, premium and ultra premium spirits, specialty non-alcoholic beverages, an extensive wine list, and imported and American craft beers including Claim Jumper's own Honey Blonde, Original Red Ale and Hefeweizen.

Potential Earnings Including Bonus

• General Manager - $130,000
• Kitchen Manager - $74,000
• Assistant General Manager - $83,000
• Assistant Kitchen Manager - $55,000
• Restaurant Manager - $50,000 - $66,000

Management Training:

Currently we hire and train individuals for two positions within the company, Associate Managers, who are primarily focused on Front-of-House operations, and Assistant Kitchen Managers, who are primary focus on Back-of-House operations.

The management training consists of either a fourteen-week or a sixteen-week program, depending upon the primary focus of the position. These programs are executed within restaurant units that have been qualified specifically as training locations, and are supplemented with a week of management workshops at our main office. Our training is very interactive and progressive, with each segment building upon the information from the previous section. The programs are also global in their scope, incorporating both front and back of the house involvement for either position.
