Based in Seattle, Organic To Go is the nation’s first fast casual café chain to be certified as an organic retailer with locations in Seattle, Los Angeles, Orange County and San Diego. Organic To Go’s delicious organic food is now available in more than 160 locations - including 26 cafés, more than 120 wholesale locations, 14 universities and 11 locations at Los Angeles International Airport.
The company started 2007 with 12 cafés and closed a year of growth and expansion with 26 cafés, and now operates in four geographic regions. All Organic To Go fare is made with organic ingredients whenever possible and is always natural, free of harmful chemicals and created with care.
Back Story
Organic To Go was founded in late 2004 by a group of men and women who have worked in the natural products industry for many years. Busy with careers and families, the current lifestyle of our culture creates a simple need and desire for delicious yet wholesome fast, casual food. The challenge was how to find it and get it conveniently at work!
After experiencing typical fast food options and lunch box deliveries, we knew there had to be an alternative. Originating from different backgrounds, we each had a vision of healthy casual meals, with everything from ham and cheese sandwiches (Midwest folks) to deli-style roast beef sandwiches (East coast folks) and veggie packed salads (West coast folks).
Forging ahead, we choose our menu items and ingredients based on the criteria of:
- Delicious first
- Convenience and availability second
- And organic whenever possible, but at a minimum, our products are always made with natural ingredients free from harmful additives
Airports, Universities and Corporate Campuses!
You’ll see us in some interesting places – with 11 locations at Los Angeles International Airport, and over 100 locations at universities, colleges and corporate campuses like Starbucks and Microsoft. Sometimes we fill out a grab and go cooler or kiosk with our sandwiches, wraps and salads made fresh every day and delivered. Other locations are more robust and offer a greater variety of items similar to our cafes.

We believe that healthy plants and animals raised with care and integrity provide the finest tasting, most flavorful and nutritious food available. Our inspiration comes from traditional American fare and our cafes and catering kitchens offer a delicious and convenient alternative without harmful additives such as antibiotics, growth hormones and pesticides.
