What are Restaurant Management Career Fairs?
Restaurant Management Career Fairs are recruiting events in major cities across the country that provide candidates with the perfect opportunity to interview one-on-one with multiple restaurant companies in a single location, on a single day.
These recruiting events are designed to attract a large pool of experienced restaurant job seekers and typically take place in a large meeting room at a centrally located hotel. Career Fairs use a one day, booth format.
Instead of a "free for all" where candidates wander around from all industries, our Career Fairs are organized and restaurant-focused. Our on-site representative personally introduces each candidate before each interview resulting in a more efficient and productive interview process.
We attract restaurant management talent of all levels, including Shift Leaders, Assistant Managers, Chefs, Kitchen Managers, General Managers and District Managers. Our Career Fairs can result in multiple hires at any management level.
What are Restaurant Management Open Houses?
Open Houses are job fairs for one company at a time. These are a very popular package because of the flexibility to be organized in any city and in any week. These are utilized for very targeted recruiting. We source, screen and schedule candidates based on your exact current needs. Open Houses are useful if you have needs in the months between Career Fairs, or in a market where we do not currently do Career Fairs.
We customize our sourcing to your exact needs and specifications. We include job postings, emails, resume database searches, screening, cold calls, scheduling, confirmations, etc. We source attendees based on your exact openings. You simply pick the date, time, and location, and arrive that day to interview prescheduled candidates.
How do we attract job candidates?
To maximize candidate attendance at our job events, we start with a comprehensive advertising campaign with sponsored job postings on major job boards. We then build on the ad program by actively sourcing job seekers via database searches. We also send emails and text messages to candidates from our extensive internal database. Our team also spends weeks personally reaching out to candidates to invite them to interview. To ensure the best possible results for each and every one of our clients, RMC limits the number of recruiting events we take on so that our team has adequate time to thoroughly focus on each event.
How do I get the most out of these recruiting events?
Share your specific management needs with us so that we can seek out candidates with those skills and experience levels.
Inform us of your company's current top selling points so we can share that information with candidates that may not have considered your opportunities prior to the recruiting event. These points can include such things as: your benefits package; company growth plans; compensation and/or bonus program; advancement opportunities; work schedule; etc.
Review each event's resume package in a timely fashion. This package contains the resumes collected from all our sourcing programs. Many of our long time clients find these collections to be a great source for additional hires.
We recommend having 2 recruiting representatives on-site to speed up the interview process.
Adjust your interviewing to the flow of the candidates. At our Career Fairs, we will let you know if you have multiple candidates waiting to speak with you. This allows you to shorten an interview if you don't think a candidate has the proper skill set, so you won't miss the opportunity to talk with others that may be a better fit.
